cashback sites - are they worth the hassle?

Does anyone else have the same problems as me and my partner trying to get cashback sites such as Greasy Palm to cough up? Here's a list of examples from GP:

09/08/07 mbna cashback stuck on pending.

14/01/08 amex red payment reversed.

16/05/07 amex platinum validated but never paid.

Girlfriend's first transaction, £60 for insurance never paid.

Ticket system for complaints useless. Can anyone verify if I'm better off using other cashback sites with bigger and more reliable payouts?

I would recommend Quidco too. Also RPoints.

This is not really a credit card question and you may get replies more quickly, if you post again on the Referrers board ;)

I can recommend quidco too - reckon I will have made back about £300 this year for stuff I would have bought anyway :)

Andio - I use Quidco and it's great. The two tickets I've raised when cashback has been declined have been successful, so I've been paid for every transaction.

Be aware, though, that it takes about three months, usually, from purchase and validation to payment.

It's also worth clearing your cache and history before going through any link from a cashback site. If you've gone to the HSBC site directly, for example, and then through Quidco, it doesn't always register the difference, and remembers your previous link rather than the cashback one.

I've made £200 in about a year with purchases I would have made anyway through Quidco. It's not a huge amount, but it's £200 and not to be laughed at!

Hope you get it sorted. :)

I have been paid by Greasypalm three times over the last couple of years (not a big shopper), though I now use Quidco and Topcashback due to no min payout whereas
Greasypalm have a min payout of 25.00
    Payment a day challenge: £236.69
    Jan Shopping Challenge: £202.09/£250
    Frugal Living Challenge: £534.64/15000

Kiki is right about making sure your purchases track properly. I have two internet browsers on my computer, one of which I use for all normal price comparison etc surfing (explorer) and the other I use once I know what I'm buying (firefox). So I go into firefox, open quidco page and proceed from there. this way purchases are more likely to track.

I do have to keep an eye on it - for some reason tesco wine club purchases always have to be queried - but 90% of times it all works fine and I too have never had a query turned down. I would def recommend it.
