I have had huge success today with my Barclaycard account paying admitting to £906.78p after a 9 week battle and following the advice that Martin Has given us all on this fantastic free site, I called Barclaycard today following the letter as they said they have credited my account with £268.78p and they have settled my debt with them. I have had the £268.78 credited back to my bank account and there is a letter in the post on my request that they put in writing account closed and settled in full for the credit reference agency.
My problem is with Monument credit card who are owned by Barclaycard, all the letters from matins site worked even the statements but the second I requested the money back which comes to £1020 they attach a complement slip saying account closed and sold debt with an address for HFO. Even if they have sold the debt, surly my argument fro the unlawful credit card charges is with them??? Not HFO??? I have even dropped the figure saying I will accept £800, same reply complement slip with HFO…. I have sent a for to the ombudsman and that is pending, has anyone got any advice for me please before I take this to court ????
Kind regards
Dan

Congratulations on your success with Barclaycard.

If memory serves, B'card sold off Monument to Raphaels Bank some time last year, so you're dealing with a different firm this time round.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Yes that is correct, Monument are a trading name of Raphaels Bank and the card is issued by compucredit ltd.Congratulations on your success with Barclaycard.

This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Thanks for your responce, what do i do now ??? should i find the address for Raphaels Bank and write to them or not ?? but Monument / barclaycard say that they have sold debt to HFO do i follow there instruction and write to them ? i think that the unlawful charges are with Barclaycard or am i wrong. ??
