Firstly, can you use the internet as normal through a Wii? Could I come on MSE? It's just my computers broken, and I miss it!
If you can, how on earth would I set it up? I have a modem from Virgin Media, no wireless though. Does it have to be wireless?
Any advice appreciated!

Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.

Yup, although you wouldn't want to type on the Wii.
Also some sites, esp with large graphics and flash cause it to crash.
Doesn't have to be wireless, you can use ethernet cable (might have to purchase an adapter, can't remember off by heart if the wii has one built in).
Otherwise, if you have a USB/PCI wifi adapter, you can set your PC up to share the internet connection if you have a techie friend who can do it for you.0 -
So all I need is this ethernet cable? Is it easy? I'll have to try do it myself. Yea I was wondering that, how on earth do you type?Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0

Hi Drea
Yes you can visit the link below

You must have ethernet or wireless to connect as said above.
Hope this helps.

I heard something about having to buy points to get a browser? Sorry, I'm just quite confused...Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0

The Opera browser is 300 Wii points as I recall.
You need to get your internet connection to the Wii set up first though.
The Wii has a shop channel to buy stuff, console games and the like.
It also uses its internet connection to update itself, provide the weather and the news.
It only has a wireless interface but in case you don't have a wireless router Nintendo do sell a wireless dongle which plugs into a USB port on an internet enabled PC.
Of course if your PC is dead thats a non starter.
Best get a wireless router.
PS If you need to justify this remember that the BBC i-Player will now run on the Wii Opera browser, and it works for radio as well as TV now. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
