Hi All!
I posted a few weeks back about getting message - Local Connection Area 3 Disconnected - displaying , which gave a temporary loss/interupted service (AOL).
It seems to occour under 2 circumstances, or am I being too clever, in thinking this??
1) Starts late Friday afternoon - into the evening & Saturday - so I'm thinking it's realtive to perhaps increased demand on the exchnge??
2) During rain - especially in yestrdays heavy downpour - so, as the cable from the main BT line in, to the office, where the computer is, runs along the outside wall, is really designed for internal use. I installed this, it's without breaks or outside joints & looks OK at the boxes (although only one of these is new, the original BT one is 15 yrs old.
So is it damp affecting resistence within the cable, or should I get another new box from the BT end, for me to fit, 'cos I don't like their £105 call out fee!! ??
Any thoughts more than welcomed!!
