This is quite a simple question and has probably been asked before but i cant seem to find it in previous threads......

If your application for a credit card is refused, is it registered on your credit file?

I have had varying answers from friends etc. and was looking for a definitive answer !!!!!

But the search they carried out is noted and lots of searches in a short period would count against you.
