Experian - Goldfish/LloydsTSB duplication

I wonder if anyone else has noticed this or had any feedback.

Experian e-mailed me about a change to my credit file. When I looked there's a new creditcard/store card entry for LloydsTSB. When I queried this with Experian it transpires the credit card number that it relates to is actually a Goldfish credit card when is already on the report. So Create Services (Goldfish) are entry no 2 showing bal o/s, credit limit 10k etc with a full 12 month status history - last updated 24/07/05. Also new Lloyds/TSB entry with exactly the same info but status history shows one month only and file updated 18/09/05.

Now if Lloyds/TSB are going to report on this card instead of Goldfish, fine, but the Goldfish entry is not 'settled' and still appears to be 'live' albeit with a last updated date of 24/07/05.

If anyone looks at this report it looks like I've got two credit cards each with a credit limit of 10k when in fact I've only got one card.

I was going to apply for a new cashback card recommended by Martin, but don't think I should until it's clear to lenders I've only got one card with a 10k limit. What do people think ??

Thanks

  • Ask one or two or three of Experian, Lloys TSB and Goldfish about it.

Already did Robert. Experian have raised a query and Lloyds/TSB are investigating.

After a while, I realised ( I think ) Goldfish have transferred the reporting function to Lloyds/TSB. But shouldn't the Goldfish entry show something to indicate this ? It just looks like two seperate cards to anyone that looks at it.
  • Lloyds Tsb purchased the company not sure when though.
