I want to find a way to save on airport parking (Newcastle)

At the moment I am parking at the airport for 3/4 days twice a month, costing me £40 each time. This is almost as much as the flights! Does anyone know any way I can save on airport parking at Newcastle airport. I can't get public transport up as I need to check in at a little before 6am, and I do not get back until nearly 9 at night, and the last train that would leave to get to where I live leaves a little after 8pm. Any advice greatly appreciated, D x

Park in an adjacent village like Prestwick or Darras Hall, then get a taxi. Don't tell the villagers that I told you to.

Could you not park at a metro station, the metros run early enough? Im thinking like Kingston Park? Callerton? Kenton Bankfoot? I cant remember what the parking up there is like.

I have the same thing as you, living in durham, logistically with public transport i cant get there for the first flight unless i set off the night before and had a 6hr wait in central station for the first metro - not likely!!

I found theres a park & fly place opposite the airport which is a few quid cheaper

and it comes very highly recommended.

The car park just off the airport is the cheapest one I've ever found when using NCL...unless anyone knows of someone that offers pakring locally but doesn't advertise?

I've used http://www.callertonparking.co.uk/ before and they are fine. They seem to be £25 for four days.

When I was in the Metro Centre Gateshead a couple of weeks I noticed an advertisement near the bus station . You had to phone 01912144341 and quote Metro Centre Gateshead. It was £29 for a week. I will be trying to book myself soon.

I have phoned 0191 2144341 twice to book two seperate two weeks parking and it was 44 pound each time. They do ask which offer it is you wish to use so you would have to quote metro centre or sunderland.

I've just tried it using dates of depart 1st August 06:00 return 4th August 18:00 (4 days) and got a range of prices from £16.97 for Airparks Newcastle (formerly Q-Park) up to £33.15 for Meet and Greet and a couple of others in between.

Go to https://www.simplyparking.co.uk and search , see whats avail and prices, then go to them personally tell them your situation ie "frequent flier" and haggle a better deal in person.
Alternatively book the cheapest one available on simplyparking website via quidco for some cashback.
