Discover the legendary tale of King Arthur and Merlin the wizard as Disney’s The Sword in the Stone is released on Special Edition DVD from 18 August.
To celebrate the 45th anniversary of The Sword in the Stone, Disney has teamed up with English Heritage to send one lucky First News reader to Tintagel Castle, the original fortress of King Arthur and his knights.
In Disney’s take on the legendary tale of King Arthur, The Sword in the Stone tells the tale of how the King of England dies with no heir to the throne. The rightful heir will be the one who can pull an enchanted sword from a stone, but when no one succeeds the sword is left and all but forgotten.
That is until Merlin the wizard and Archimedes, a highly intelligent owl, spot the talents of Wart (Arthur), a lowly orphan servant. Through many adventures and magical mishaps they train young Wart to be the brave man he will become until one day he finds the sword in the stone…
To be in with a chance of becoming a First News reporter and writing a special report on your trip to Tintagel Castle as well attending a special King Arthur performance just answer this question.
