My 'Buy it Now' has disappeared!!!

I listed an item on 19th October and put a buy it now price on it of £24.99. I had a look this morning to see how the bidding was going and it no longer has the Buy it Now option! Its disappeared from my listing. Ive checked under my invoices at the fees and Ive definitely been charged to have a Buy it Now for this listing, so where has it gone? Is there any point contacting Ebay (Ive tried in the past and its been a waste of time). Im so annoyed!

The Buy It Now price disappears once a bid has been placed on the item, unless you have a reserve on it, in which case it disappears once the reserve is met.
Hope that helps.0 -
Hello
Your "Buy It Now" option will disappear as soon as someone places a bid on your item.
Annoying though it is, this is how it works I'm afraid.
Hope this helps.

seems silly to me for them not to allow this ,
I would much prefer to list as auction , with chance for buyer to close early at a set priceAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Has this always been the case? I didn't know it disappeared once someone had bid!!!0

This confused me for a while and I still find it annoying. What I normally do is start my auction at the minimum I am prepared to accept and then pop mu BIN at 10%-20% above that to make it attractive to buyers.
Wish BIN would stay on though that way you might get more folk grabbing fast as the bids increase the price...would be much more fun!!0 -

I think this takes a lot of people by surprise (I remember it did me when I first offerred a BIN on an auction). :doh:0 -
I've actually seen bidding exceeding BIN prices sometimes, because subsequent bidders haven't realised that it was offered at a lower BIN price. If they bothered to check seller's other items, in some cases they'd find identical BIN deals for less than they're bidding.0
