Ford Mondeo - Handbrake keeps failing
Comments

It'll be the cables that have stretched. £15 a side and 30 mins to fit. If you're able to, remove the cable from the calliper to see if the calliper is free - they normaslly are.0

Is it possible that the seizing caliper is causing the disc to heat up and expand? Then, as it cools, the disc shrinks enough that the hand brake is no longer effective. What goes around - comes around0
-
this happens on a few cars now with rear discs and pads
the procedure in the handbook is to apply the footbrake first then apply the handbrake
when the hot pads and disc contract they slacken off slightlyremember it is nice to be important
but more important to be nice0
