Just the one replacement window Essex

Hi - I'm new but have lurked so be kind. I have one average sized bedroom window (aluminium casing and wood frame) that I want removed and replaced with UPVC and an MDF sill. I've only had one quote in excess of £400 :eek: and other companies just aren't interested as it's only one window. What sort of price should I be looking at? Is that reasonable? and can anyone recommend anyone in the Southend area? Would a builder do it? as opposed to a specialist glazing company?

Hi, You could try https://www.u-fit.co.uk that are proberly in you're area and knock spots of off any quotes i have had then will cost a 1/2 a day to a days work for someone to fit it0
