holiday price error advise

Hi all
I booked a holiday through a telesales agent and paid in full and have just recived the receipt detailing the holiday and stating zero balance due, now they have contacted me and said they made a pricing mistake and want more money are they alowed to do this as it seems wrong.

One of my housemates was in a similar situation and was about to pay the extra she was asked for. I suggested she go back to them and say she has paid the price advertised and has an invoice confirming this and no way would she pay more. They backed down straight away.
I think if something is advertised at a price they legally have to sell it to you (I'm no expert) at that price. I would definitely tell them no - at the higher price you would have shopped around and not necessarily bought that holiday, why should you pay for their error!
I used to work for a holiday company which my friend used in her argument if it helps!
