Another wireless question

I'm sorry, but i have looked and i'm still at a loss.

I've tried connecting my laptop to my orange livebox today and it doesn't work. I have tried the icon at the bottom right, and 'repaired' it dozens of times and it says it cannot find any networks. I've been able to plug the laptop in so it is working (hence able to come here and ask questions).
I have also plugged in the wireless connector that came with the livebox and that can find two wireless signals, one of which is mine.
I have turned both the laptop and the livebox on and off a few times and now i'm stuck. I've a feeling it's something to do with the installed wireless card, what can i do? Last time it worked was Thursday or friday last week.

was the second signal there before?, if its new could be interfereing with yours, go into the setup for the livebox and try moving the signal channel, if its on 6 try 10 etc.
