Ryanair have cut almost 250 flights from Stanstead this winter. Obviously arnt making enough.

Or just being sensible (like a lot of other airlines) for the quite periods of the year. With the price of oil skyrocketing the way it is, it surely makes sense to not operate flights than to operate flights, and burn tonnes of fuel at a significant loss.
Airlines always have less flights in the winter (supply/demand?). Everyone knows the airline industry faces very tough times in the coming months, Ryanair aren't the first, and won't be the last to reduce capacity.0
