Boomerang Prepaid Card

I've just been on the https://www.yougofurther.co.uk site, which UCAS directs you to to make contact with people you'll be going to uni with etc.

They are advertising this...

I was wondering if anyone had heard anything else about it, is it as good as it sounds? It could be really useful for budgeting.

Strike that... I've just seen the fees, so they charge you to put money on and off.. maybe not so great for students then.

75p a topup via BACS and no transaction fees isn't too bad.

Yep, but it's better than the £2 most other prepaid cards take. These cards are geared more towards using the card to buy things, as opposed to using the cards as a bank account from which to withdraw cash as and when you need it.
