Bmi

Please forgive the rant, won't do much good but I wanted somewhere to vent my anger:

Does it seem right that BMI can cancel my flight, rebook me automatically on another flight that I can't make, make me write to them to cancel the flight (they can't do it by email or phone, just to make it that much harder), and then refund me the money but not the £1.99 credit card fee for booking? I wouldn't normally be bothered with this amount, but as they'd put me through so much hassle I wrote back asking for the £1.99 back. But they say they won't.

So, BMI, you've gained £1.99 but lost one very unhappy customer - I won't ever be flying with you again.

When you say they automatically booked you on another flight, was it on a different day or different travel times the same day ?

They booked me on an earlier flight that day, which I couldn't make, so I had to book another flight via a different airline. They may be within their T&C not to refund the credit card fee, but it's morally bankrupt.

*wanders around his city centre at 5am saturday morning, picks up £2 off the floor, sends it to JamiSaint*

*keeps the other £20 for himself*

c'mon.. its £2.... it isn't morally bankrupt, or anything... it cost them for you to pay for the flight (aka a booking fee) and it cost them to refund you...

so, at least they didn't charge you AGAIN!

BMI are cancelling a number of flights at the moment, seemingly for lack of passengers, they cancelled one at 1900 and emailed me to say I was now on the 1740. OK its only just over an hour earlier but I telephoned them and they put me on a later flight free of charge, even though the fare was much higher. Unless the timing was majorly different to the original booking, I think you are lucky to get what you did.
