Are there any more decent 0% cards I can try whilst in the process of slaughtering my credit rating for the next 6mths?
I bagged Ulster last year. I didn't have an awful lot of used credit at the time (certainly a good bit less than 100% of salary), but I did have a very large amount of available credit and had had 4 credit card searches in the previous month.

Make sure you apply for the correct card though (Gold), and expect a maximum of £3K (possibly increased to £3.6K during the activation call). Still, it's fee-free...and I'm currently enjoying a £4.5K 6 month 0% repeat deal (after securing a 30% credit limit increase based on 'behaviour').

I've opened Britannia & N&P savings accounts to allow me to apply for their 'existing customer' HBoS run fee-free BT cards. :) If you'd rather not go to 'any trouble', then how about the new Capital One 17 month card? (check you meet their 'excellent credit rating' criteria first though).

I got turned down by Cap One last year so daren't risk trying them again the way my luck is going! Will try Ulster though, thanks!

Damn - "It is only possible to apply online between the hours of 08.00 and 24.00." :wall:

Was hoping to catch them before Experian update searches overnight too!

Why not? You've already said you won't "need" to make any applications for 12 months, and they only hold it (the rejection) against you for 6 months. :)

    :rotfl: Why not? :p

I never would have considered that card if he hadn't suggested it. Just had an email from HSBC declining my application (from last night) though and still waiting to hear about the PO card.

Now Ulster have accepted me I think I should call it quits for now as I've made 4 applications within 24 hrs, plus the Abbey one last month. Think I've probably done a fair bit of damage to my credit rating ;)

I did wonder about Citibank though  but have read a few adverse comments about them on the forum and how they've c0cked up applications
