Hello,
I am looking into getting a wood burner, & all that I have read stresses you need to have it installed by a HETAS registered engineer, for your own safety, failing that you need to apply to your local council & have the finished installation checked by a building inspector. both are going to cost but you need to be safe!!!!
Try reading the info on www.stovesonline .co, full of useful info.

The HETAS site has a list of registered installers:
http://hetas.co.uk/
If you go that way, make sure you get a certificate of compliance for the fitting so that you have proof that it was installed correctly.Debbie0
