I always thought the old excuse my son/daughter bid was a figment of peoples imagination and looking on this site it happens often to get out of paying for items won.. but .. my mate went away for the weekend and she came back to loads of emails asking for payment of ebay items they were for over £500 in total and it turns she had put her password on automatic and her 11 yr old daughter went on and bid on loads of bratz stuff.. mate is sorting it out with sellers but is not a happy person .. me i burst out laughing as i warned her something like this could happen if she kept leaving her password on automatic.. so from now on i will read all the threads abt ebay now with a open mind..

Ha ha! An 11 year old is old enough to know she's doing something wrong so I reckon the mum should pay for all the stuff and then deduct it from the kid's pocket money for the next decade!0

yes i agree a 11 yr old is old enough but not all 11 yr olds are pc friendly, her mum has offered to pay for all the fees the sellers have occurred but this hasnt stopped some of the sellers being nasty and i mean very nasty and threatning, she is trying her best to sort it out and the daughter banned from all halloween activities and the pcThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Don't be nervous, just follow normal security procedures and never leave yourself logged into any site. This is an absolute necessity as if you get used to being secure, even at home, you will never accidentally let your security lapse if you ever have to use a shared PC or an internet cafe.
