Card payment for a cruise in US$ to a US company am I protected if they go bankrupt?

Please forgive me but I am a very cautious person and I would like your advice and opinion. I live and work in England but if I pay for a cruise holiday in the United States to an American Cruise Company in US Dollars which I will pay for using my Nationwide Credit card, if in the unlikely event that the cruise company goes into Bankruptcy before the date of the cruise resulting in me not getting my cruise would I get my money back from the credit card company under UK credit card legislation? I am asking this as US$ fares are so much cheaper it would make the holiday affordable over booking at a UK travel company.
I am sorry to have to ask this but we are in such uncertain times.

I did just that earlier in the year. I assumed I would be covered by section 75. However, i didn't check up but everything went to plan. Have you checked online for feedback about your chosen supplier in the USA?

You are covered under section 75 abroad, there has been a recent test case so this is definitely the case, the purchase has to have over £100 paid by credit card for section 75 to apply.
