School Uniform Rules

My lads school has just sent a letter out explaining they are going to be 'stricter' on school uniform.

At present it consists of grey/black trousers/skirts/shorts bottle green jumpers/sweatshirts or they can wear a grey top with or without logo white polo shirts/shirts

Now they are enforcing grey and green which is fair enough for me, i'm just glad i dont have a girl as now they cannot wear multi coloured hair accessories (has to be green) and only white black or grey socks unless they have a red day but the best bit is they are not allowed to wear thongs or lacy knickers (i swear at that age i never did) just wonder how the hell they are gonna enforce that one!!!

btw this is a junior school

At last a school with some sense! I imagine when they get changed for PE/Games will be the time to monitor the underwear adherence to the new rules!

I don't see why they can't go back to those lovely big armpit warmer regulation navy or green knickers. Looked especially fab if you had the layered pants/tights/pants look!

It like the company I work for. We wear white shirts and black trousers. In the uniform policy it states whites bra's and black briefs. Nobody has done any sort of inspection on me though, they would get a slap if they tried lol.

Who is it for the school to say what sort of underwear your children should wear. Obviously thongs are not really suitable for children and parents should have some sense not to buy them. But It is up to the parents what underwear they buy.
