I would like to buy my son for his 18th a decent laptop which is as light as posible...does anyone have any recommendations? Much appreciated

Why do you need it light?
Whatever the reason, I would suggest you look at Dell. Very high customer satisfaction, and good prices. I'm sure they will tell you the weight somewhere.
Bear in mind that there is always an offer on at Dell. Avoid the free printer, aim for free delivery, £100 off and double memory. If they aren't doing that now they will be soon. It is a natural cycle.0 -

Have taken a look at Dell they have a latitude x1 which looks good. I have also found on notebookreview.com The Sony VAIO TX feather-weight PC. Does anyone have any views on either of these laptops?0
