How come you are £3k more than you thought? What are you planning to do? I am going to be overdrawn by around a tenner this month, was trying to keep in the black but in the scheme of things I have still done well, am going to pay the remainder of my cahoot loan on Friday and then crack on with my credit cards, I am going to sort some stuff out to list on ebay and then use that to bring the balances down too!

  • Hey!! long time no speak how's the moneysaving going?
  • cheers! I am at work so not the best way to spend it!!

That is so nice about getting married, has he actually proposed then? we bought a house last year (got married in 2006) and I love it!

I am doing ok, trying to stick to £300 again this month, my cahoot will be paid off this month and I have started to pay OH mum and Dad back for the loan for my car and also paying an extra £100 on my credit cards, all in all doing ok, just feeling a bit fed up that I can't go out tonight but we went off to Anglesey for the weekend and had two meals out so can't really justify it!
  • Aww all sounds very promising!! Has he cleared some debts of his own then? surely then he would understand about you having some?

I told my OH about mine before we got married (I was terrified) but he was fine about it and I feel so much better now it's out in the open.

Anglesey is lovely, very peaceful and unspoilt, lovely for a rest! OH is always trying to get me to go camping but I am such a scaredy cat, all I can picture in my head is someone knifing me through the tent walls in the night :o I do have a vivid imagination
  • LOL I know I will have to give it a go one day!

I see where you are coming from re the debt, I was so worried I wouldn't be able to get a mortgage, I couldn't save for a deposit cos of my debts, in the end we were very lucky as OH's parents gave us the money we needed, they have their own business and it was doing really well, I am eternally grateful to them!
