:mad: Am so annoyed with this bank at the moment. They have took out of my bank today £195!!! for failed standing orders!!
Breif background - I'm unemployed currently and used to get paid on the 15th of every month so standing orders to my debts were set up to come out on the 16th of every month. Yesterday, I went on to my online banking and amended all the standing orders to come out on the 18th instead as OH's money came in today. So in my eyes those S/O's were amended in time!! How can they justfy taking nearly £200 out of my account!! Thats my food money for the month!!
Am getting on to the phone to them now!!:mad:

Ive been with coop bank for years, and after going from one bad bank to another i think co-op are great compared.
The standing orders come out at around 2am so you have to amend them before the date, so the 16th was too late, doesn't matter which bank your with its normally the same.
However i would explain that your unemployed and that you don't have enough money to live on, and they have done in my case returned the money to my account as they put it a jesture of good will when i forgot 3 standing orders were due out on the same day and didn't have enough money for them.

Well good end to a story - I called them and explained the situation and they've refunded the money back to my account - should be showing tomorrow. Phew!!

That's a good result - perhaps you should post that on the Five Star Service board?
