my dvd le v6 no longer works HELP PLS

I have a dell inspiron 1300 laptop my dvd le 6 was already installed worked great for what i needed it to do and it was working fine till a few days ago now when i click on it . It no longer loads after awhile the egg timer just disappears . If you right click and use run as the following message appears
runtime error program:c:\programfiles\roxio\mydvd\mydvd.exe this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in the usual way have no idea what this means a friend suggested to reinstall it but i only got 2 discs with it a green and a blue both say for reinstalling dell inspiron eurotools system software are these even any use any help would be greatly appreciated my technical skills are very limited
