IPOD not working correctly in dock

Hi

I recently bought an Ipod dock (Isound from play.com) to use with a 3rd gen 8 GB nano. When i put it in the dock the volume buttons work ok but the menu button and track skip and play buttons didnt have any effect on my Ipod. At first i thought it mihgt be the remote but a friend tried it on his and it worked fine. I then gave him my Ipod to see if it workied ok in his dock, it did. I then tried other Ipods in my dock and they work fine so it appears i have a problem with my ipod, maybe a loose connection. Has anyone had a similar problem with ipods not working correctly when placed in a dock. As a standalone ipod it seems to work fine.

Yes, i do every now and then.

It charges up ok but won't sync.

No idea why and I haven't had time to look into it. My OH's exact same model works fine.

I found the answer. My ipod needed to be reset (procedure varies depending on which ipod you have). It now works perfectly. Try resetting yours Zazen999, it wont do it any harm.
