Hi there
I'm still on dial up and so after I'd ripped some CDs to WMP10 connected to the internet to update album info, etc. However, WMP10 seems to have got the CDs wrong and incorrectly changed the properties (album name, artist, etc). Why did it do this and what do I need to do to avoid this happening again?!?
Thanks!

It did this because the information it has in its library for the CD ID is usually for the USA version of the album which isn't the same as the UK one. Sometimes there's an error in the database they use. Usually you can manually select the album if it makes a mistake but that only works if they have the correct one and they don't always especially with some compilation albums.
There's not a whole lot you can do about it other than use another CD ripper which uses the CDDB database which is far more accurate as its a community maintained one and stop WMP10 from getting the album info.0 -
Can anyone recommend another (free if poss) decent CD ripper which uses the CDDB database?!?0

Audiograbber is free and uses the CDDB database... haven't used it myself for years!
