Hi,
Ive got a siemens se572 router from 'orange'. MY problem is my PC is not wireless.
I understand I need a usb wireless adaptor but what sort do I buy?
Would I be right to assume that when I do get an adaptor that I can also connect the Wii to the internet through this or do I just need the router....Im baffled!
Please, somebody give me some advice??????
Many thanks.

You can get a PCI wireless card or a USB dongle (assuming you have a desktop PC). I would be inclined to go for the former; USB dongles seem to be a bit hit-and-miss in my experience. The PCI ones go inside your computer, so you'll have to open your PC up in order to fit it. It's really not difficult to do (if you can change a fuse, you can do it), but some don't feel comfortable tinkering with their computer.
The Wii is already wireless enabled, so you should be able to connect it to your router.0 -
Hello kyral,
It's up to you really. I've got both PCI and USB running at home, and from my personal experience both work as well as each other.
Something like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sweex-LW053-WiFi-LAN-Adapter/dp/B000K2NQ18/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1216271967&sr=8-1
or this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/product/B000NNSY7K/ref=sr_1_2_cm_cr_acr_img?%5Fencoding=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
should suffice (the latter probably having better reception properties).
Very easy to set up, easily transferrable and you don't need to open up your computer if you are uncomfortable doing so.
