Singles Holiday advice

Can anyone give me some pointers or recommendations on where to go on a cheap holiday? Somewhere hot, nice beach and decent nightlife I guess are the main criteria.

I'll be travelling on my own, so something without an outrageously big single supplement is a must.

It'll be the first time I've been abroad; I'm not sure what to expect in terms of needing to speak the lingo.

I'm thinking maybe All Inclusive might be the way to go?

I can get some time off work in the last two weeks of August. Departing somewhere in the north of England - Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, Robin Hood, maybe Liverpool.

Thanks for your thoughts :)

How long do you want to go for and what is your budget?
  • No more than 7 days, but shorter would be ok. Budget maybe £300, perhaps a bit more for all inclusive.

But seriously i have been looking the last 2 weeks in August and its cheep untill it adds on the single suppliment and thes single solo holidays seems so expensive to me, i fancy all inclusive as don't want to wander on my own looking for places to eat and i love egypt but £700+ for all inc is just out of my budget, i am still looking so will advise you if i see any bargins with no suppliments! :T
  • Why don't you try Solo's - www.solosholidays.co.uk - They don't have single supplements and are market leaders in single travel - Good luck!

There's another thread about singles holidays. This is the reply I left on that one.

A friend of mine went with Solo's and had a great time. She's now single and was let down by the friend she was meant to be going away with. She was obviously very nervous at the prospect of going on her own, but came back and started looking to book the next one. Everyone is in the same boat - going on holiday on their own, and the group soon makes friends.

They have a website www.solosreunited.co.uk which is a forum where you can post and ask questions. Their holidays are on www.solosholidays.co.uk You don't have to pay a single supplement. The holidays are arranged so you're with people in your own age group. For September they have Turkey for £399 and a few in Greece, a bit more expensive. It's worth taking a look.
