Eon refund

Just had a strange letter from Eon.
They have stated that when I was a customer (2 years ago) they didn't apply the DD / dual fuel discount to my final bill and although it was their policy it wasn't clear in their T&C's. They have sent a refund as a result.
Can't imagine this is uncommon and has no doubt earned companies a lot of extra cash.

Wow, that is great news, always encouraging when there are so many problems with the power companies.0

It was just not in their t&c's full stop! - until the end of Feb this year that is when EON issued revised t&c's. Suspect energywatch and the regulator have responded to customer complaints about this matter and put pressure on EON to pay up or face a penalty for breaching the terms of supply.0 -
Typically they have written first, not enclosing the cheque. To see how you want the refund?
Then when you ring they say "okay we'll send a cheque"
More than likely hoping a percentage will not receive, forget to respond or lose the letter.0 -
Hi - I got a letter this morning too saying they owed me £44 for the same reason. I've swapped power companies so many times, couldn't even remember being with e.on! But there's no way I'll forget to cash their cheque...Make £10 a day May challenge
