I want to open the one year Halifax Regular Saver and i would like to drip feed this using my savings account to maximize my interest. I currently have an ING Direct savings account.

Please could you tell me if i will be able to use the ING to make my monthly payments or if not could you tell me the next best savings account that will enable me to drip feed my regular saver

Any help would be most appreciated

As far as i know, you can only fund your Regular Saver by standing order. As far as your ING account is concerned, I am pretty certain you can only withdraw the money into the nominated bank account. (The one you set it up with).

Usually with savings accounts you can only set up standing orders to make deposits to fund the account - not to take funds out of the account.

  • Have a look at the Halifax websaver - see the "best savings a/c allowing standing orders" thread as of yesterday.
