Do You Think This Seller Was Pushing Up The Bidding

I bid on a pair of trainers recently but the auction was finally won by somebody else. I noticed yesterday that the same pair of trainers were listed again so requested a buy it now price and was told £10 plus postage.
I did a little detective work and the original winning bidder is showing as location South Yorkshire and the sellers location Barnsley South Yorkshire.
Taking that and the fact relisted very quickly do you think someone was pushing the bidding up and won the item by mistake?
Anyway I cannot bid on as wanted to take on holiday before auction end and do not really want to pay the Buy It Now price so looks like the auction will run again with or without somebones help (maybe)!!

I have just looked into the "buyers" history and he has "won" seven items in the last couple of weeks from the seller of the trainers. Each time the seller has left feedback but no feedback given from buyer.Feedback for the trainers first time round has even been left from seller (poistive) and now they are advised again (definetely same trainers).
Perhaps I should ask him politely to lower his offered price whilst hinting I am aware of what he is up to.lol0
