I find that if I use my food processor to mix meatballs and use bread soaked in milk rather than dry breadcrumbs that the mixture usually sticks together without eggs.0

I never use eggs when I make meatballs. I soak some breadcrumbs in milk and then mix that with the mince. I think the trick is to really mush it up with your hands

 Thanks everyone!!!
Have just made them up using the milk/breadcrumbs method - they look great and moulded together well.
I have my fingers crossed that they will hold together when cooked. Assuming they do (sure they will, can't imagine OS steering me wrong:D) I won't bother to use the egg in future which will bring the cost down a little bit:j

I've never put egg in my meatballs, i do blitz up an onion in the food processer and mush that in with some seasoning and mine have never fallen apart (well not yet anyway!)0

Break the mince up, so it's not in the usual "worms", and then squeeze it into the balls really, really hard. Imagine they're someone you don't like. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

Hi all,
I want to make meatballs for dinner tonight but I have just realised that I don't have any eggs to bind the mixture together? What if anything else can be used instead?
Hope you can help.
Thanks.

They should bind ok without. You can add a little flower but they should be ok with just mince, unless you are adding lots of onions and other bits. And if, you know, your history...0
