In the Cooking section of the MEGA Index sticky (at the top of the forum listing) there are threads under "freezing" and also under "fruit" that will give you a good start, and there's also a recent thread on drying apples.

I just peel and cut and freeze uncooked; chip them off in to a bowl and top with crumble topping (also usually premade and frozen!); the whole lot goes in to a medium oven till bubbling and then turn it up a bit to crisp up the top.
You might also try apple jelly, or chilli jelly which is basically flavoured apple jelly, or even cider. I can find some recipes for these, but most of them will probably be on Squeaky's index so have a look and if they aren't there pipe up!0 -
There's always Apple Cheese if you're interested - takes 10lbs of apples to makeStill wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!0

JackieO wrote:I too make this cake but I also add a bit of cinnamon about 1/2 teaspoon to the mix and also grate the apple as my fussy grandson prefers his apple grated and not sliced
