Save on Car Insurance with CallConnection.com

For the past two years I have got my best Car Insurance quote via CallConnection.com.

What this is is a free call (0800 561 1762) and they profile you and pick three or four insurers from their client list who they think will be best for you (no doubt based on age, gender, postcode etc.). They then transfer you to their no.1 choice, often bypassing their hold queues. They also give you 0800 numbers for their other choices if you want to call them direct. Once the insurer has given you their quote you either hang up or they transfer you back to CallConnection. If you hang up, CallConnection calls you back to see how you got on and to try their second choice for you, and so on. If you don't want them to call you back just use the 0800 numbers given earlier. All this is free to you!

I was first put on to them last year - KwikFit Insurance called me (as I'd asked for a quote from them previously) but when they weren't competitive they transferred me to CallConnections and the same happened this year.

I don't have last years details to hand, but this year the cheapest quote using the MSE system was £323 without cashback or £324 with (possibly) £50 cashback on top. The best quote I got via CallConnection was £301 - as I didn't want to risk not getting the cashback and thus paying £23 more. OK so I may have paid £26 too much but Martin doesn't recommend choosing chosing insurers for cashback alone.

This might not work for everyone but it certainly saved me money, including free phone calls.

  • Thanks for your post. Have you checked that the covers are identical and that your new policy does not have a massive excess?
In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move.

Checked, double-checked then checked again - same level of cover, same excess, same add-ons (e.g. protecting my 10yrs no-claims etc.)
