Please ensure that your avatar (the small picture under your username) and posts do not contain flashing images.
Does this just mean no flashing or does it mean no animation?
I know some people find animation annoying/distracting, while others like it.
I have removed my walking elephant avatar for the moment in case it is no longer allowed.

I may just have to train him to stand still!

As I understand it, you are allowed animated avatars but none that flash in such a way that might cause a problem for epileptic people for example. I'm sure your elephant would be ok because it's likely that it would be reported if people found it to be too much.Torgwen..........

Thanks Fran.
I was wondering whether it was specifically flashing in case of problems for epileptics or if it was anything animated because Martin didn't want people getting too distracted (though it should be ok for the forum).
I had removed it just in case it was the latter.
In view of your reply, unless any admins say any different, I'll put the walking elephant back in a day or two. I don't think it will trouble anyone.0 -
There is an option to switch them off.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

Acceptable

Like the Cylon Mr Skint!
I think the other one might be considered unacceptable on the grounds of violence as well as flashing.0 -

Want to insert an Avatar? Easy do this.
Right click the picture I posted and choose save

website, and choose Edit Avatar, and Choose
this option Upload an Avatar From Your Computer
click on Browse and Now find the picture you
saved and click open then save changes.

The example by Mr Skint is a good one. The first is definatly unacceptable, but I can see no problems with the second. Basically flickering images are not allowed, or any image the forum team deem to be of bad taste or likely to offend others. If you are unsure, please ask us at abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0

Cheers Mr Skint. I'll use the Cylon for a while and then go back to the elephant.0 -
