tickets

Hi All,
I bought tickets with credit card for air show that was then cancelled due to bad weather, which is acceptable.
But the refund for tickets will take 8wks, all the time i will be paying interest on this, is there anyway to claim this back from organisers?

If the organisers are processing a refund, then I don't think you will be able to claim from the Credit Card company.

In fairness there will be thousands booked into an air show, so they have got a lot of refunds to process.

You would probably be best just to pay the bill for now, then when you do get the refund you will have some extra cash in your pocket.

At the end of the day you would have had to pay the interest if the air show had gone ahead, so I can't really see how you can make a claim on this basis.

It's a charity, and they are losing more than the £2 interest on the credit cards :(

If you provide proof of the reasons for the refund etc and verify it at the local branch, they can call customer services who might refund the level of interest appropriate as goodwill. Nothing to lose.

The other thing to bear in mind Smudger . When you paid by credit card, the organisers paid a fee to the card company for that transaction , they didnt pass it on to you as many card accepting oulets now do, they absorbed it to allow you the convenience of paying by credit card.
