Squatnow's cynicism is well placed. Dealing with an estate agent is like dealing with a wasp. You feel the pain of their sting very quickly. Financial advisors are like mosquitoes. They bury their probosis into you but you feel no pain. Years later you discover that the pension or endowment policy they arranged for you is about as desirable as malaria or sleeping sickness.

I've got malaria, got in Africa, it's not very nice and I can't get rid of it.

My grandad got malaria in the Far East during the War, and while he never got rid of it, it lessened a lot over time.

Sorry to hear you have it - hope it's not too bad.

There, I gave you a nice "thanks" for that, being so sweet and all.

Actually for the moment it is dormant, though I still have it, comes back about once a year on average.
