best plant for growing up front of a house

**Sorry its not all about money saving**

Hello all, after some advice from some of the more horticultural minded of us.

I have a house pretty normal house top half has wooden slacks bottom half is brick. I wish to put up a small trellis on the front and get something growing up the front of the house.

Can anyone suggest a good plant to put in the ground that will zoom up the trellis and all over the front of the house (as directed by me) I’m after something that will be green the majority of the time, not fussed about flowers and it would be good if it didn’t stink :) also it would be handy if it didn’t try and tunnel into the wooden slacks.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Something to take into consideration is the bit it will be planted is mainly in the shade apart from the morning sun and also as its right against the wall does not get a lot of rain on it.

Thanks in advance for any help what’s so ever.

regards,
