Southern Electric's door knockers are no angels either.
Their lie of choice is to tell you they are the regional supplier and that they sell the gas/electric to the company you are with who then sell it to you for more than souther electric would.
After being lied to several times by these idiots they are now lucky if they get a "no thanks" before I shut the door.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Set of barstewards - anyone who has to come round hassling you is very unlikely to have a good deal. Worst offenders for a (too) long time seem to be npower and carphone warehouse (talk talk) as well as the hoards of double-glazers and "got some left-over tarmac"-ers - wouldn't give any of them my business if they claimed they'd pay me for their "service".0

Sat down did a full analysis on the whole year's consumption - in the end npower were the same cost as Scottish Power.
I've now cancelled the contract. The customer services representative made some negative remarks about the sales people and said they had had lots of people cancelling their contracts. They must be used to it.
Next time they or any other representative from a utility company door knock it will be a very firm "no thanks".
What an awful job though, the lad only looked about 18 and at £7 per signup which lets face it take some convincing as we are all now so cynical isn't great recompense. It's npower that are at fault.0
