does a 5 year old need some kind of bus pass??

my daughter is going to be 5 next week and obviously she's been getting on the bus for free but someone mentioned that she would need a bus pass to prove she was under 16????
and then should would travel on the bus for 10p, does anyone know anything about this and also would that be the same for trains too?

Where does she travel and with which bus company? Different parts of the country have different rules.
In London for example travel would be free - with an adult no card would be needed but a photocard would be needed to travel alone on the tube for free.0 -
