SatNav - CD Maps
Options
Hi, Looking for a bit of advice with SatNav.
Just purchased a Navman PDA PIN 570, I have also purchased some extra map CDs and a blank SD card. The guy told me if I have a PC then it,s a 5minute job, but me and PCs !, could turn into a 5 week job!. So, in simple terms, how do I get the CDs onto the new SD card. I do not have a card reader, I take it that it can be done from usb cable direct to the PDA.
Cheers.

You will have received with the PDA software called active sync. load that onto the computer and then connect the PDA. Once the PDA has syncronised with the computer you can then explore the PDA. All you need to do is explore to the SD card and then copy the maps from the CD to that.Welcome, rogerramjet.

John,
I have moved your post to the Motoring Board as Sat Nav has been discussed on there more.Torgwen.....................

The CD you have received with your NavMan should have a Help file in it that will explain exactly what you need to do if the other posters haven't already provided sufficient info.. Your supplier should also be able to expand on his "it'll take 5 minutes" advice.0
