Just seen https://spideroak.com/ today, which looks pretty cool - 2GB free online backup, multi-platform client backup software and pretty reasonable rates for additional space.
Haven't used it, so can't vouch for its reliability or anything else, but it's certainly another one to add to the mix.

What we really want is a way to mirror your backups between these online backup services. Perhaps a third-party site that'll download your stored stuff onto its service and then upload it to the others, so offering redundant online backup?
I reckon people would be happier to pay a monthly subscription to a service like that, rather than a monthly subscription to one single backup provider. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Apple's MobileMe (their rebranded .Mac service) is compatible with PCs and offers 20 GB of online storage and 200 GB monthly bandwidth for £59 a year. An extra 20 GB of storage is £30 a year.
It can sync your contacts, email, bookmarks and calendars between your PCs or Macs. It probably still offers better value to Mac or iPhone/iPod Touch owners due to its tighter integration with Apple's iLife apps, but it's still something to consider.0 -
I haven't used SpiderOak, but I have tested several on the players.
ElephantDrive and Mozy are the best for actual online backup. Carbonite works ok but you can't tell what's going on, so if you're paranoid (like me) you'll like the others better.
Check 'em out:

Do not use Streamload/MediaMax/Linkup. It's all one company and they've screwed the users at every turn.0 -
spideroak looks like the only ones that supports Linux.. :SLaters
