Hmmmm, I see your point, but I cannot believe that millions of children who were measured the old way all ended up wearing wrong size shoes! Or were they?
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

O for goodness' sake stop obsessing about this! Clarks know they've got a large proportion of the population just where they want them. No middle class mum would be able to hold her head up at a dinner party unless Jack and Chloe were kitted out in Clarks.

I've had all the above experiences with my son and Clarks. It all depends on exactly how clueless the Saturday girl is who does the measuring. Nowadays I just go to the shoe shop with the shortest queue, we try on the shoes until I and my son both feel comfortable with them, and then we buy them. Try it! Break the Clarks spell and be free. Your kids (and their feet) will survive and thrive.
Eh?? I give up!! Towel is getting thrown in here! :D

How times change!! Many years ago, my mother was a teacher in the village of Street, now of Clark's Village fame. She used to tell us how the Clark children came to school barefooted, the reason being that Clarks believed that shoes were bad for young children as they prevented natural growth!
