Thinking about it logically, if you take something back there is no proof that you have not a) followed the directions correctly, b) actually taken the product.
It is impossible to prove also, with non-visible ailments, that it hasn't worked.
Whilst a manufacturer has a duty of care to their consumers, providing there is no specific "This will definately cure you" comment on the box, they can reasonabley argue that it will not work on everyone, and you are unlucky enough to be one of them. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
We regularly have meds returned to us by patients claiming they don't work. The sale of goods act excludes prescription medicines, as they where dispensed not sold. The £6.50 is merely an NHS levy. If you paid the true cost of the drug which is normally substantially more, then you would be entitled.
if a medicine doesn't work, its needs reporting to the GP. I have know instances, where a medicines eg. Patient with Penicillin allergy, has been prescribed Amoxycillin (Pencilling based antibiotic) and read the leaflet once dispensed, got another prescription and had to pay again.
If the patient kicks up enough of a fuss, its the GP reponsibility to refund, if they made the original error. Otherwise NO REFUNDS!!smartie1976 wrote:Thinking about it logically, if you take something back there is no proof that you have not a) followed the directions correctly, b) actually taken the product.
