Firstly, you have changed your name with the intention of deceiving and therefore what you have done is illegal.
Secondly, you don't wipe your previous slate clean just by doing this. You need proof of ID to open accounts etc. and the only proof you have is your change of name deed which will show your old name as well which they can then do a check against.0 -
Yes it does. When applying for credit you will always be asked about previous names. Rather than taking drastic action like changing your name why don't you just face up to your responsibilities?0

the deed poll office would be hectic if it were true
I'd have a nice big house mind0 -
also you cant change your natinal insurance number so you can be traced that way.0

well i just want to build up my credit history and even gonna chnage this name to my passport and driving licence , all i need ur help to resolve this prob , i jus want to put this stamp off from my previous name and i havnt done any thing big or any thing illegal0

But your credit history will follow you even with a new name! All thats going to change is your name! You will still have a bad rating!0

Er, you have gotten a bad credit rating by borrowing money and not paying it back on time I presume? Do you still owe money in your old name? If so are you going to pay it back?softmind82 wrote:i jus want to put this stamp off from my previous name and i havnt done any thing big or any thing illegal
Now you are trying to deceive banks into lending you more money by preventing them from properly tracing your credit history, in full knowledge that they wouldn't lend you money if they had this information.0 -
Yes - even if your plan worked and they didn't link you to you to your real name; you would still be someone with a passport and driving licence but no credit history whatsoever, which is just as bad. For all they know you could be an illegal immigrant with a forged passport. The only way you could explain why you have never had a bank account or any financial dealings would be by admitting you had changed your name!southernscouser wrote:But your credit history will follow you even with a new name! yes if you paid for everything with cash then they couldnt see how you manage your money for example, they cant see you spending and paying back etc.
hence no credit is just as bad as bad credit they say0
