how do you get these deals as they don't seem to be advertised?
do you have to phone up and really haggle or is it fairly easy?0 -

Last year they had one or two 'fee-free' days, which they e-mailed cardholders about. Thankfully one or two MSE'ers posted and many of us bagged deals on empty MBNA run cards. I managed 0.9% APR fee-free for 11 months, which has cost me £110 in interest but made me over £400 net profit...for only one phone call and, because I already had a min payment DD set up, one BACS transfer to repay it.
Money for old rope!0 -
i don't recall getting any emails about 'fee - free' days?? i'm an account holder but only ever get the standard 0% BT offer for a few months but with a horrid 2.98% fee!:rolleyes:0

wouldn't be worth phoning today, sunday or monday then?
is it just a mon-fri 9-5 job?
what happens if you ring outside of those hours, do you still get to speak to someone?0 -
