Back on the Polling Numbers, I do note that CAP UK has zoomed into 3rd place this morning. At 0900 they were 200 votes behind Samaritans, and now they're over 100 ahead.

Just waiting for the "Fat Lady" to sing at 1 pm. "The People" [whoever they all were ;) ] appear to have spoken.
  • Looks like the Christians are getting some divine assistance - storming thru into 3rd! Is anyone going to suggest the Almighty is rigging this vote?

I was sooooo tempted earlier to enquire if that was the power of email or prayer ... and now it seems I just have ... :D
  • "The top two big and two small charities will then each be given 20% of the total money available (ie 20% of a third of the entire fund). The winners will be announced in the weekly e-mail."

Just to throw the cat in among the flying rats.... It doesnt appear to be the 4 charities with the most votes but the 2 "large" charities and the 2 "small" charities with the most votes. What I wonder, are the requirements for being large or small? Also, how were voters supposed to know if they were voting for a large or small charity? Making this clear may well have changed the results, especially for the smaller ones.....

OMG, it's that 'small print' again .... where was that promulgated?

[edit = found it. I'm new here]
  • It's "STEP 3" on the page that details nominations - there is a "the nominations" link at the top of the poll results page.

Yup ... still learning my way around here. Sorry.

And you raised a very good point on Large/Small.
I'm sure someone knows, and we'll find out eventually.
That leads back to some of JimmyTheWig's earlier observations, I believe.

I gather from a member of the Night Shift that some "adjustments" were made ... and the traces of blood washed away very quickly.
  • Gomann, you are a tease. You are being unusually oblique. What adjustments? Whos blood? Explain yourself...

I think the perpetrator was also removed. There was a !!!!!! ! ? comment like "where did 900 votes go"? Then a puff of smoke and he was no more, Zapped, Dead Parrot, gorrrn. ( Posts n' all )

Ah, the wonders of the Internet ...
    And IT Departments ...
