Holiday Autos Car Hire via Lastminute.com

Off to Cyprus in a couple of weeks and have been looking at car hire, best price I can find so far is with lastminute.com(Holiday Autos).

Has anyone used this company and can relay their experiences good and bad, or can recommend another reliable and cost effective company.

Holiday Autos are a car hire 'broaker' - so they have agreements with a number of different car rental companies in each destination. and you will get a car from the company they can get the best deal off at the time.

I have hired cars off them in Majorca on 3 different dates in a year and had 3 different suppliers!

But as a rule, I have always found them to be good.

I used to use Holidayautos, but you don't know which Car rental firm you will be using until you've booked. I now go through Moneysupermarket, as they list the Hire Companies prior to you booking. For instance Sixt were a few quid more expensive than another Company (last time I booked - a month ago) but I'd used them a couple of times before and the previous time they had given me a free upgrade, and it happened again this time. Upgraded from a Compact to a 4WD. Just the job for the mountain roads of Switzerland and France.
