  • But no way of reading the 1st post in a topic by hovering the cursor over it?

    Unless that's just me?
These 'tooltips' as they're called work for me: Internet Explorer displays the entire post, whereas a bug in Firefox causes it to crop the tooltip to the first 60 characters.

These tooltips are defined by the title attibute and it's nice to see the site designers using the correct HTML standards. See alt and title attributes for the background on this.

Thanks re the first paragraph C_M, but I'm using I.E. and it's only reading them intermittently

As for the second paragraph .... if I got there I'd never understand it ;)

Press HOME, that takes you back to the top, as does END takes you to the bottom
Thanks, I already know that but I'm just too lazy to reach across and hit the key. :D Prefer to have a Back to Top link for some reason.

Hold on everything isn't meant to come up in a new window - just provider A-Z and the chat forum if you're in the main site (chat forum in the chat forum should open in same page)

Using Opera it doesn't come up in a new window, could it be a Firefox thing?

Edit - I just tried Firefox and it opens in tabs as normal.

Are we all talking about the same thing here?

I think the blue link on the left is supposed to open the chat forum in a new window and it does for me in IE

Opera and Firefox (depnding on your settings) overide this.
I'm using the new test version of Firefox (1.5 beta 2) and that has more options when a page tries to launch a new window as to whether it appears in the same window, a different window, or forces a new tab.
